Invitation improvements

Opening an invitation link while signed out used to be a dead end: you signed in, or created an account, and landed on your own dashboard with the invitation gone. It now follows you through both doors — sign in or register from the invitation page and you come back to it already joined, including when the address you were invited at still needs confirming.

The invitation travels in a cookie your browser will not hand to page scripts, rather than in the address bar, so it stays out of your history and off the sites you visit next. It lasts 45 minutes, or until the invitation itself expires if that comes first, and is cleared the moment you accept. One invitation is carried at a time — opening a second link replaces the first, and the email is always there to pick the other one up again.

A clearer invitation page

The page now tells you which organization has invited you and how long the invitation is good for — “expires tomorrow”, “expires in 5 days” — before you commit to anything. Signed out, it offers both doors together: sign in with the account you have, or create one. Signed in, it is a single Accept button.

Accepting shows a short welcome naming the organization you have joined, with one link onwards into Keepr. A link that was revoked, already used or past its expiry says so on its own page instead of failing with a generic error.

Release notes come to you

This article is the first one delivered this way. When a release brings something worth reading, Keepr posts a notice in your notification centre and sends a single email linking to the notes. Releases with nothing to tell you about send nothing at all: the article is the signal, so there is never an announcement without one to read.

It counts as a product update, so Account settings → Notifications → “Product updates” turns off the email, the in-app notice, or both. Security and billing notices are unaffected — those are always sent.

Fixes

Dialogs take your typing straight away again and close with Escape, and accepting analytics cookies no longer breaks the page you are on.
