This policy lists the cookies Keepr sets, the analytics cookies that appear only after you accept them, and how to change your answer.
01What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. Keepr uses them to keep you signed in, to protect your requests, to carry an invitation you opened through signing up, to remember your language, and to remember your answer to the cookie notice.
Keepr itself sets no advertising cookies and runs no ad networks. If you accept analytics, Yandex Metrika additionally sets cookies of its own — including ones on Yandex domains that recognise the same browser across Yandex services. Those are described under “Analytics and your consent”.
02Cookies we set
These five come from Keepr itself. The first three are strictly necessary — the service cannot sign you in, or finish an invitation you opened, without them. The other two only record a choice you made, and blocking them means being asked again.
“Browser session” means until you close your browser. Choosing “Remember me” when you sign in gives the two sign-in cookies an expiry 30 days out instead.

03Preferences are not cookies
Your colour theme, sidebar width and dismissed notices are kept in your browser’s local storage, not in cookies, and are never sent to us. Your language and your analytics answer are cookies instead, because the server has to read them before it renders a page.
Two things in local storage are not preferences. Error tracking stores a random browser id under hawk-user-id so repeated reports from the same browser group together. If you accept analytics, Yandex Metrika keeps entries of its own there too — their names begin with _ym — beside its cookies.
Clearing site data resets all of them, including your answer to the cookie notice.
04Analytics and your consent
Keepr uses Yandex Metrika, operated by Yandex LLC, to count visits, see which pages are used, and measure sign-ups and paid subscriptions. It is not loaded until you accept the cookie notice: before that no analytics script runs and no analytics cookie is set. Declining keeps it off, and every part of Keepr works exactly the same either way.
Session Replay is switched on. It records how a page is used — cursor movement, clicks, scrolling and the content of the pages you see, including pages inside your workspace once you are signed in. Metrika masks fields it recognises as confidential and shows asterisks instead of what was typed; we have not configured any masking beyond that.
We never hand Metrika your name, your email address or the text of your time entries as parameters. Metrika does receive, directly from your browser, the address of each page you open including its query string, your IP address and your browser’s user-agent string, and Yandex processes those on its own systems under its own terms.
To change your answer, clear Keepr’s cookies for this site — the answer lives in keepr.analyticsConsent — and choose again when the notice reappears.
Once you accept, the tag is loaded from mc.yandex.ru and sets the cookies below on keepr.ru, with the lifetimes Yandex documents. Metrika can add service cookies of its own — _ym_fa and _ym_ucs alongside _ym_uid, _ym_hostIndex to limit how many requests it makes, gdpr for a visitor it identifies as being in GDPR scope, and _ym_debug and _ym_sup_debug only while its debug mode is on — and it sets cookies on Yandex’s own domains as well, among them yandexuid, i, yuidss, ymex and usst for up to a year and is_gdpr and is_gdpr_b for up to two years, which recognise the same browser across Yandex services. Yandex publishes the full list.

05Managing cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking Keepr’s sign-in cookies signs you out and prevents signing in again until they are allowed.
Declining analytics, or deleting the analytics cookies afterwards, changes nothing else: signing in, timers, reports and billing do not depend on them.
06Changes
If we add or change cookies, we update this page and the revision date above, and ask again where the new cookies need consent.
