Editing a member’s details
Why an admin’s edit stays inside the organization
One person has one Keepr profile, shared by every organization they belong to. If an admin of one organization could rewrite it, they would be renaming, re-photographing and re-locating that person everywhere else too — including in an organization that person owns. So an admin’s edit is stored on the membership instead, as this organization’s own version of those details.
The dialog is explicit about it: “As an admin you are editing this member’s contact and personal details. They will be notified of the changes.” The shared profile row is never touched.
What an organization can set
Team → the member’s row → Edit opens “Edit member details”. The Details tab holds this organization’s photo of them plus Full name, Job title, Phone, Location and Time zone. That is the entire set.
Email is read-only — “Only the member can change their own sign-in email”. Their language, password, notification preferences and active sessions are theirs alone and no admin can reach them. The Access tab beside Details changes the organization role and workspace access; one “Save details” applies both tabs together.
How the two versions resolve
Wherever the organization has set a value, that value is what this organization shows. Everywhere it has not, the person’s own profile shows through. Nothing is copied, so the fields you leave alone keep following their later edits.
Setting a field back to what their own profile already says clears the organization’s version rather than freezing the current text — that is how you hand a field back.
What the member sees
Saving emails them “Your Keepr profile was updated”, naming the admin and the organization and listing only the fields that actually changed. Pressing Save without editing anything sends nothing.
The audit log records the same change as “Member details updated”, naming the fields that were touched rather than their values, so the log never becomes a second copy of somebody’s phone number.
Editing your own details
Your own page is “Account settings”, reached through Profile in the sidebar profile menu, with tabs for Account, Notifications and Security. It is global rather than per-organization: there is no organization selector and no per-organization tab, because those values are only ever written by an owner or admin.
It autosaves about a second after you stop typing, and there is no Save button — so a blank name or a half-typed phone number quietly holds the whole tab back until you fix it. Language is not on this page either: it is the “Language: EN” toggle in the sidebar profile menu.
