Leaving an organization and deleting your account
Leaving an organization
Account settings → Account lists every organization your account belongs to. Leave takes you out of one straight away: you lose access to it and its workspaces, and a timer you had running there stops.
The time you tracked stays with the organization, and an admin can add you back later. The owner cannot leave — transfer ownership to another member or close the organization from its settings first.
Deleting your account
Delete my account sits at the bottom of the same page. It is available once your account belongs to no organization; until then the card lists what is in the way, such as an organization to leave or the one you own to transfer or close.
Confirm with your password. The account is scheduled for deletion seven days later, every other device is signed out at once, and your personal API tokens stop working — the Jira panel and the browser extension are disconnected. An email confirms the date.
What is erased, and what stays
When the seven days are up, Keepr erases your sign-in, profile, photo, sessions, API tokens, notifications and support requests, including their copies in our issue tracker. Your email address, IP addresses and browser details are removed from the security log and from the record of the documents you accepted, and the address is free to sign up with again.
Time entries and everything else you added to an organization's workspaces belong to that organization and stay in its records, under an account id with nothing behind it. Ask the organization about them. A short record that the deletion happened is kept for three years, as Russian law requires, and a last email confirms it is done.
Changing your mind
Until the deletion date, signing in shows a single page with Cancel deletion. Cancelling keeps the account exactly as it was; signed-out devices and revoked tokens stay that way, so sign in again and create new tokens if you need them.
An account that joins an organization again before the date is not deleted — accepting an invitation is refused while a deletion is pending, so cancel first.
If you can't sign in
Use Forgot password on the sign-in page, then the deletion is in your profile. If an organization imported your history from another tracker without ever inviting you, there is no Keepr account to sign in to: those records are the organization's, so ask it.
