Creating your Keepr account
Signing up
The register page asks for four things, in this order: Name, Organization name, Email and Password. Tick “I agree to the Terms and Privacy Policy” — “Create account” stays disabled until you do — and you are in.
A password has to be at least 12 characters. Length is the only rule: there is no requirement for digits, symbols or mixed case, so a memorable passphrase is a perfectly good password here.
What is created for you
Registering creates your account, an organization named as you typed it, and one workspace inside that organization called “Default (your organization) workspace”. You are the organization’s owner, and you can rename both later.
The organization starts on the Free plan with a 14-day trial of Ultimate laid over the top, so nothing is limited while you evaluate. The sidebar shows an “Ultimate trial” badge with the days remaining. No card is asked for and nothing is charged when the trial ends — the organization simply falls back to Free.
Confirming your email address
There is no “check your inbox” screen: you are signed in immediately and land on the tracker. Instead, an amber notice titled “Confirm your email address” sits at the top of every screen until you open the link we sent. It cannot be dismissed.
Until you confirm, you can track time as usual but cannot invite team members or switch to a paid plan. The link is valid for 24 hours; “Resend email” in that same notice issues a new one, and can be pressed again after a minute.
Joining a team instead of starting one
If a colleague invited you, open the link in their email and press “Accept invitation”. You join their organization with the role and the workspaces they chose — no second organization and no separate trial are created for you. If you already have a Keepr account, sign in first with the exact address the invitation was sent to; another address is refused.
A person can own at most one organization, and Keepr has no “create organization” button. The only ways to end up in a second organization are to be invited to it, or to register again with a different email address.
