What's new in Keepr 0.13.0
A timer in your browser toolbar
Keepr now has a browser extension. Click its icon to start, switch or stop a timer with the project, task and tags you would pick on the web, without opening a Keepr tab. It runs the same timer as the web app and the Jira panel, so stopping it in one place stops it everywhere.
On a Jira or GitLab issue page, the extension shows an "On this page" card. Press Start on it and Keepr finds or creates the task for that issue, so time goes to the right place. In Chrome you can pin the extension to the side panel, where it follows the issue you have open.
Get it from the new Downloads page, which detects your browser. Chrome, Edge, Yandex Browser, Brave and Opera install it from a .zip today, and Firefox 140 or newer can load it temporarily while the Firefox Add-ons listing is in review. You connect it with a personal API token, which is part of the Ultimate plan.
Bring your history over from Clockify
Organization owners and admins can import from Clockify under Organization settings → Import. Paste a Clockify API key and choose what to bring across: members, clients, projects and tasks, tags, and every time entry. Then pick the Keepr workspace it goes into. The importer only reads from Clockify and never changes anything there. Your key is stored encrypted and deleted when the import finishes.
Nothing is merged without your say. If a client, project, task or tag already exists in the workspace, you decide whether to merge into it, keep it separate under a new name, or leave it out. Before anything is written you see a summary of the whole import.
Imported people arrive archived and take no seats. At the end you choose who to invite, and only the people who accept are billed.
Your data, your choice
Keepr has a new Personal Data Processing Policy. It sets out what is processed, why, and for how long, under Russia's personal data law (152-FZ). When one of our legal documents changes, Keepr tells you. A change to the Terms of Service needs your acceptance before you continue, and your timer keeps running while you read it.
Account settings now have an Analytics switch. It turns Yandex Metrica off in that browser, and Keepr works the same either way. Pages inside your workspace are never recorded.
Jira panel
Tasks the Jira panel creates are now named after the issue summary alone. The issue key is still saved on the task and shown in front of its name in the Tasks list, so it no longer appears twice.
Fixes
The public site — the home page, pricing and the help centre — now works properly on a phone, with a menu that fits the screen and the language and theme switches inside it.
Prices, dates and the time zone picker now work in older browsers that lack some date and number formats. Before, those pages could fail to load there.
