What's new in Keepr 0.17.0
Integrations: issues in, time out
Keepr now connects to Jira, GitHub, GitLab, Linear, Bitrix24 and Trello. One integration links a tool to one Keepr project. An issue created in the tool becomes a task in that project, closing it or moving it to done archives the task, and reopening it restores the task. Tracked time goes back the other way: worklogs in Jira, /spend in GitLab, elapsed time in Bitrix24, and a comment in GitHub, Linear and Trello. Correcting or deleting an entry corrects or removes what the tool holds.
Open Organization settings → Integrations to connect a tool. Owners and admins can set up any integration, and workspace managers can set one up for a project in their workspace. Each tool has its own setup guide in the Integrations section of this help center. The Free plan includes one active integration, Team three, and Ultimate as many as you need.
Jira Cloud through the Keepr Jira app
On Jira Cloud, an integration can connect through the Keepr Jira app instead of a webhook and an API token. Keepr shows a one-time connect code, and a Jira site admin pastes it into the app's settings in Jira. The app then sends issue events and writes worklogs itself, so nobody sets up a webhook and no Jira account has to be set aside for Keepr.
Writing worklogs needs a new Jira permission, so this version of the app does not update by itself. A Jira site admin accepts it under Apps → Manage apps. Until then, the timer panel keeps working as before.
Merge and pull requests count towards their issue
A GitLab merge request or GitHub pull request that closes exactly one issue now shares that issue's Keepr task, so the time spent on the code lands on the issue. A merge or pull request that closes no issue, or several, keeps a task of its own. The browser extension follows the same rule when you start a timer on its page.
Browser extension
The toolbar icon now shows how long your timer has run, or how many timers are running, updated about once a minute. For this the extension asks for one new permission, alarms, which wakes it up to refresh the badge. The "On this page" card also recognises Linear issues, Bitrix24 tasks and Trello cards.
The billable switch now starts on, as on the web, and follows the project you pick: a project set to non-billable switches it off. Firefox updates the extension by itself; in other browsers, install the new .zip from the Downloads page.
Entries that run past midnight
A timer left running overnight can now be corrected from the time editor on the Timers page. Before, the end stayed on the next day whatever time you picked. The end time now goes on the start's day, or on the next day when it is earlier than the start.
An entry that ends on a later day than it starts now shows "+1" after its time range, and hovering the range shows the end date. An entry that is 24 hours too long is easy to spot this way, and fixing its time removes the extra day.
Smaller changes
The audit log can be filtered by team member. The API tokens list in Account settings now has search, sorting and pages. Report a problem shows when an issue you reported has been resolved. Bottom sheets on a phone close with a swipe down.
Keepr's emails stay readable in dark mode. The Jira panel's project search and loading are fixed. Upgrading a plan a second time no longer fails on a checkout that was already paid. A new Integrations page on keepr.ru lists every tool Keepr connects to.
